The National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels in Abu Dhabi has an agreement with New York’s famous Maccioni Restaurant Group for the regional licensing rights of their restaurant brands Le Cirque and Circo. The first venture was to introduce a new Circo restaurant within the Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Client brief was to design a restaurant that emanates the essence of the Circo brand – upscale Italian cuisine influenced by the Tuscan region and served in a lively, sophisticated setting reminiscent of the old-style European circus tents which inspired the restaurant’s name. Delighted with our design interpretation and positive comments received from partners and guests, we have since been awarded the contract to design a new Le Cirque in Dubai.
